About Us
A working farm, not a kennel
Farmora Kangals is a single-breeder operation on a working farm in Milledgeville, Georgia. We raise Kangal Shepherds the way they were bred to live — outdoors, on the job, alongside the livestock they're meant to protect. Every puppy here grows up around 300+ poultry, goats and sheep from the day they're born, not in a run or a kennel building.
Why working-line, why unregistered
Our dogs are unregistered working-line Kangal Shepherds. Both parents live and work on our farm, and you're welcome to meet them before you commit to a puppy — that's a better guarantee of temperament and instinct than a piece of paper. We breed for guardian ability and soundness, not for a show ring or a registry's standard.
What a day looks like here
Puppies are whelped near the house, then moved out with the flock as soon as they're steady on their feet. They learn to read livestock, hold a perimeter and settle around people from their first weeks — a Kangal that's never seen a chicken until it's eight weeks old is starting from behind. Ours don't.
Who these dogs are for
We place puppies with two kinds of homes: farmers and homesteaders who need a working livestock guardian, and families who want a large, calm, protective companion with room to move. Either way, we ask questions before we say yes — a Kangal is a serious dog, and we'd rather find the right home than the fast one.
